North Shore Drive is part of a resort development that was put up in the 70s. It is nice and quiet, the perfect place for a relaxing vacation.

The Eastern Beaches Area of Lake Winnipeg is one of North America's finest summer resort regions. With sandy beaches, warm water and multiple possibilities for summer sports such as swimming, tanning, sailing, water skiing, surfing, kite-boarding and motor boating.

The natural environment of the Canadian Shield and Lake Winnipeg offer a wide variety of outdoor activities, such as hiking and bird watching. Numerous bird sanctuaries offer birders the opertunity to watch the Piping Plover or the America White Pelican.

In the winter the area is very popular with skidoers as there are very many maintained snowmobile paths along the resort.

The beach: Though Grand Beach is better known in Manitoba as one of the top 10 beaches in North America, I find the beach at Hillside to be a lot nicer.
