The Birchwood Motor Hotel

The Birchwood Motor Hotel is situated on Hwy 59 half way between Traverse Bay Corner and Hillside Beach Road.

The bar will serve snacks, burgers and hotdogs after hours. Provided their barbecue isn't broken again.

Jack the owner of the Birchwood has regular special nights with live bands, BBQ ribbs, karaoke and steak night.

The Sandbar Motor Inn

If you are willing to go a bit further to Grand Beach (a 20 Minute drive) there are several bars and lounges there with a younger, more outgoing crowd.

The Sandbar Motor Inn is situated on the left hand side, just as you enter Grand Marais. It offers the following services:

The Surf Club in Grand Beach is a bar, lounge and grill. It is situated just off the south-west end of the Grand Beach boardwalk and is very popular with summer revellers.
